    MAKE A DONATION

  • Through our partnership with Hope & Comfort, we provide survivors and families with essential toiletries and personal care items—basic needs that are often overlooked but deeply impactful.

We’ve also created a Wish List where you can send items directly to those we serve, ensuring survivors have access to the daily essentials that bring dignity and relief.

What People Are Saying

  • "Our experience with Shaquera's Story at the Paul A. Dever Elementary School has been incredibly positive and impactful. They have become an invaluable resource for our entire community, consistently going above and beyond to support our families. Their support ensures that our students and their loved ones feel seen, heard, and connected to the broader network of help available to them. Shaquera's Story has provided crucial information about domestic violence and advocacy, empowering our community with knowledge and resources that are so vital. Beyond this critical educational support, their kind donations of clothes, shoes, and school supplies have made a tangible difference in the lives of our students, alleviating burdens for many families. We are truly grateful for everything Shaquera's Story has done and continues to do for the Paul A. Dever Elementary School community"

  • "I was Introduced to Shaquera and the program from a mutual friend. I instantly felt a sisterhood forming not only because we're both DV survivors but on the same page as in motherhood; raising king and queens to the best of our ability. She introduced me to an excellent lawyer who helped me to “fight the fight” with an ongoing DV case with my abuser. Even though I didn't want to sound like a victim, and like Shaquera’s experience , everyone felt like we would go back to the abuser. Shaquera listened to me and went to court with me as support no matter what the outcome was. So I say that for me this with the right advocacy group where victim’s will always feel safe. I feel that her book will help a lot of us going through DV, that survivors could relate to what she went through cause we're going or got through it ourselves. I'm grateful for her and her team and wish her nothing but success."

  • "As Council President, I am proud to recognize the unwavering courage and advocacy of Shaquera Robinson. A survivor of domestic violence herself, Shaquera has transformed her personal journey into a powerful platform for healing and change. Through Shaquera’s Story Domestic Violence Consulting and Coaching, Inc., she uplifts others by providing resources and support to survivors across Boston. I have had the privilege of working with Shaquera, including her powerful testimony during the City Council’s hearing on domestic violence and sexual assault, where she reminded me why survivor voices must lead the way in shaping policy. Her partnership with our office and deep commitment to community-based solutions make her an indispensable leader in our city’s fight against violence in all its insidious forms."

    Council President Ruthzee Louijeune

Shaquera’s Story

Shaquera’s Story Domestic Violence Consulting and Coaching, Inc. was born out of lived experience, resilience, and an unshakable commitment to justice.

Our founder, Shaquera Robinson, is a mother, public health leader, educator, and survivor who turned her pain into purpose. After surviving years of abuse and navigating the criminal legal system, Shaquera saw firsthand how survivors—especially women of color—were left unheard and unsupported. Instead of staying silent, she chose to rise—using her story to educate, advocate, and empower others.

Today, Shaquera’s Story is a movement where survivors are supported, families are protected, and organizations are equipped with evidence-based solutions to prevent intimate partner violence (IPV), gender-based violence, and teen dating violence (TDV), creating opportunity for lasting change.
